Im not a guy by the way :D. Im a girl. My bottom layer is past my chest. But I have like choppy-ish layers on top that are about.. 5-6 inches long? I hate teasing my hair, any other way to accomplish this look? And should I trim my short layers a bit more in order for my hair to stay up?

Well first, make sure your hair tons of short, choppy layers or else it won't work. Then, take a section of layers, and use a teaser comband start backbrushing your hair. I know you said you hate teasing it but that the only way you will really accomplish this style. Hairspray each section once youre done teasing it. If its sticking up too high, then just lightly brush it down a bit.

using your hands with not too much wax,

gently slip into your hair, and then bring it out.
